IIM-A graduates to help out 12 enterprises

| The students training group (STG) of IIM-A will organise one-day workshop to train 12 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) from Ahmedabad to bridge and fulfil the lack of training and knowledge in SMEs. |
| The institute is also organising its annual event 'Chaos 2006 - Moksha, come get blessed' from Jan 26 to Jan 29. |
| A maiden initiative, the training will be conducted by ten students, four from First Year and six from Second Year. |
| The training group will train SMEs in making strategic perspective, HR or organisation behaviour approaches, marketing from paradigms and to approach problems financially. |
| The programme will also serve as a learning process for the students, said co-ordinator of the workshop Vidyanand D Krishnan. Similar workshops will be conducted in Rajkot and Ludhiana and later across the country, he added. |
| They would try to involve students from other business schools as well. |
| Inspired by the Narayan Murthy's suggestion to contribute to development of SMEs, STG will conduct the workshop mainly targeting the enterprises which cannot afford expensive trainers to face difficulties and challenges. |
| About 35,000 students from 60 colleges across the country are expected to participate in the Chaos 2006 which kicks off on Jan 26. Forty slum children that are being educated by 'Pray', an IIM students organisation, will also participate in the festival. |
| A workshop will also be organised at Parimal garden in the city in co-ordinarition with AMC, who is the main sponsor of the festival. |
| Various competitions including cultural events, painting, musical, plays, fashion shows, literary events and workshops will be organised in the four-day event. |
| Pakistani bands "" Jal and Strings, drummer Sivamani, Louis Banks and Amaan Ali Khan nad Ayaan Ali Khan will be performing in the event. |
| To encourage cultural exchange, the organising committee has involved international students in the team and they would take part in a fashion show. |
