Asian markets weak; Hang Seng down 381pts

Asian markets are considerably weak this morning.

The Hang Seng has plunged 381 points to 22,134. The Nikkei, however, has moved up 35 points to 12,968.

The Taiwan Weighted index has shed 148 points at 6,829. The Straits Times index has slipped 22 points to 2,855, and the Seoul Composite index is down three points at 1,540.

The Shanghai Composite index is down three points at 2,739.
