Barley up 2.71%
Fresh buying pushed up prices

Barley price improved by Rs 38.50 to Rs 1,458 per quintal following increased buying by traders at lower levels.
Marketmen said fresh buying at existing lower levels mainly pushed up prices.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, the April contract hardened by Rs 38.50, or 2.71% to Rs 1,458 per quintnal, with an open interest of 3,640 lots.
The January contract also improved by Rs 24.50, or 1.82% to Rs 1,370 per quintal, having an open interest of 7,200 lots.
