Lead sheds 0.37% on subdued spot demand

Supported by subdued demand in the spot market, lead prices shed 0.37% to Rs 106.95 per kg in the futures market today on reduced offtake by speculators.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, lead for delivery in March traded lower by 40 paise, or 0.37%, to Rs 106.95 per kg in business turnover of 1,968 lots.
The April contract shed 35 paise, or 0.32%, to Rs 108.15 per kg in 97 lots.
Market analysts said subdued demand from battery-makers in the spot market helped lead prices to trade marginally lower at futures trade.
