Masoor, its dal up on retailers demand

Barring a rise in masoor and its dal prices on retailers' demand, other commodities remained steady at previous levels on the wholesale pulses market today.

Marketmen said pick up in retailers demand led to the rise in masoor and its dal prices.

In the national capital, masoor small and bold prices recovered by Rs 50 each to Rs 2,750-2,950 and Rs 2,900-3,150, while its dal local and best quality traded higher by the same margin to Rs 3,250-3,350 and Rs 3,550-3,850 per quintal respectively.

Following are today's quotations in Rs per quintal:

Urad 4,000-4,400, Urad chilka (local) 4,900-5,300,  Best 5,400-5,900, Dhoya 5,350-5,450, Moong 3,950-4,950, Dal moong chilka local 4,900-5,300, Moong Dhoya local 5,200-5,400 and best quality 5,800-6,000

 

Masoor small 2,750-2,950, bold 2,900-3,150, Dal Masoor local 3,250-3,350, best quality 3,550-3,850, Malka local 3,350-3,400, best 3,500-3,600, Moth 1,700-2,000, Arhar 3,250-3,750, dal arhar dara 4,850-5,250
