Mentha oil falls by 1.12%

Profit bookings led tp the downtrend

Mentha oil prices fell by Rs 16.50 to Rs 1,448.20 per kg in futures trade today.

Marketmen said profit-bookings and a weak industrial demand triggered the downtrend.

Increased arrivals from Chandousi in Uttar Pradesh also fuelled the downtrend in mentha oil prices.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, the January contract fell by Rs 16.50, or 1.12%, to Rs 1,448.20 per kg, with a business turnover of Rs 1,193 lots.

Similarly, the December contract declined by Rs 16.30, or 1.12%, to Rs 1,432.20 per kg in 294 lots.
