Sensex down 140pts; breadth marginally -ve

The Sensex is exhibiting lacklustre movement and is now down 139 points at 9,508.
Reliance Infrastructure has slumped over 5% to Rs 534, and Tata Steel has plunged over 4% to Rs 189.
DLF has shed 2.5% at Rs 149. Reliance, Mahindra & Mahindra and Grasim have dropped 2.3% each to Rs 1,369, Rs 277 and Rs 1,386, respectively.
TCS, Tata Motors and ONGC have slipped over 2% each to Rs 513, Rs 136 and Rs 703, respectively.
Larsen & Toubro and HDFC Bank have also declined 2% each to Rs 684 and Rs 928, respectively.

SBI, Infosys, Ranbaxy, Wipro and Bharti Airtel are the other major losers.
Maruti, however, has gained 1.5% at Rs 618, and NTPC has added 1% to Rs 182.
The market breadth is marginally negative - out of 2,208 stocks traded so far, 1,182 have declined, 929 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
