Sensex pares gains; mkt breadth turns -ve

The Sensex has pared most of its gains after touching a high of 9387. The index is now up 80 points at 9142.

Bharti Airtel has zoomed over 5% to Rs 339. Wipro has surged 4.5% to Rs 413.

ITC and Tata Motors are up nearly 3% each at Rs 150 and Rs 714, respectively.

ONGC and ICICI Bank are up over 2% each at Rs 1,006 and Rs 470, respectively.

TCS has plunged over 4% to Rs 1,505. HDFC has dropped 2.4% to Rs 993, and Infosys is down nearly 1% at Rs 2,617.

The market breadth has turned negative - out of 2,131 stocks traded so far, 1,240 have declined, 832 have advanced and 59 are unchanged today.
