Sensex slips 26pts; HLL, Infosys drag

The Sensex has slipped into the negative zone and is now down 26 points at 14,227.

Bharti Airtel and Hero Honda have surged nearly 3% each to Rs 814 and Rs 737, respectively.

Tata Steel and Gujarat Ambuja have moved up 1.7% each to Rs 452 and Rs 132, respectively.

HDFC, Hindalco, Maruti and Tata Motors have gained around 1.5% each at Rs 1,678, Rs 151, Rs 907 and Rs 868, respectively.

Ranbaxy has shed 3.5% to Rs 382. HLL and Satyam have slipped aruound 2.5% each to Rs 195 and Rs 465, respectively.

Infosys has dropped 2% to Rs 2,317. HDFC Bank and ITC are down 1% each to Rs 1,018 and Rs 174, respectively.

Out of 2,591 stocks traded so far, 1,324 have declined, 1,197 have advanced and the rest are unchanged.
