Sensex up 30pts; breadth turns +ve

The Sensex is now up 30 points at 14,283.

Bharti Airtel has surged nearly 3% to Rs 814. Hero Honda has rallied 2% to Rs 730.

HDFC, Larsen & Toubro and Gujarat Ambuja have moved up around 1.5% each to Rs 1,680, Rs 1,691 and Rs 132, respectively.

Tata Motors, Tata Steel and Maruti are up over 1% each to Rs 866, Rs 450 and Rs 904, respectively.

Ranbaxy, Satyam and HLL have shed 2% each to Rs 387, Rs 468 and Rs 196, respectively.

Infosys is down 1.5% to Rs 2,332.

Out of 2,511 stocks traded so far, 1,246 have advanced, 1,199 have declined and the rest are unchanged.
