Spanish fans of new Real Madrid star Gareth Bale are reportedly rushing to copy his trademark hair-do following his goal against Villarreal on Saturday in his debut match for Real.

The 85 million-pound Welsh ace's impact on Real has sent the club's army of fans into a buying frenzy as shops sell out of Bale merchandise, with Madrid's top sports shop El Corte having to turn away customers after running out of No 11 shirts.

According to the Daily Star, the fans are however, going a step further by getting their hair cut in Bale's distinctive style, with the owner of a 112-year-old barber's shop, Rafael Lopez, saying that he has been offering Bale haircuts for the past month and getting three or four customers wanting a copy of Bale's style.

Stating that he gambled on Bale signing for Real before it was a done deal, Lopez said that the deal has turned out 'fantastically' for them as his shop gets people stopping by all the time to take pictures of Bale's photo and the offer which they have put up.

According to Lopez, Bale is becoming a fashion trendsetter in Spain, adding that many customers, mostly teenagers and even younger children, come to his shop wearing Bale shirts and manage to go out looking somewhat like him.
