China hopes to reach bilateral investment treaties with US, EU

China's Minister of Commerce Gao Hucheng on Sunday said that Beijing hopes to achieve win-win Bilateral Investment Treaties (BIT) with the United States and the European Union as early as possible.

Gao asserted that talks between China and the United States have come to a substantive negotiation stage after 24 rounds.

BIT negotiation between China and the United States began in 2008.

He also added that there has been a rapid progress on BIT negotiation between China and the European Union.
