An Egyptian court has ordered the release of two Al Jazeera journalists who have spent more than 400 days in prison over charges of supporting the black-listed Muslim Brotherhood.
Peter Greste, who is the colleague of the two journalists Mohamed Fahmy and Baher Mohamed, was deported home last month.
Mohamed Fahmy was ordered to pay bail of 250,000 Egyptian pounds while Baher Mohamed was released on his own recognisance on Thursday along with other defendants, reported News.com.au.
Mohamed's Twitter account read a message that said "I AM FREE" after the release order. The case has been adjourned till February 23.
The three journalists were originally jailed for between seven and 10 years each.
