Footie aces Becks, Steven Gerrard face million pounds tax demands

David Beckham, Steven Gerrard, Ant and Dec and various other celebrities could be facing tax demands worth millions of pounds.

Beckham, Andrew Lloyd Webber, Sam Laidlaw, Gerrard and among thousands of other people who are under the scanner for investing money into a movie investment company called 'Ingenious Media', which is being probed over tax-avoidance allegations, the Mirror reported.

The company, which is proud of its record in financing hit films including 'Avatar', and 'Life of Pi' which have generated more than 1 billion pounds as taxable revenue, reportedly offered substantial tax relief to clients.

A tribunal on the matter will start in November 2014.
