List of 'most popular dogs' in US revealed

The list of the most popular dog breeds in the U.S in 2013 has been unveiled at the American Kennel Club in New York.

The Labrador retriever has topped the list and has been the most popular dog breed in the U.S. for the last 23rd year in a row, followed by German shepherds, golden retrievers, beagles and bulldogs, the Independent reported.

Other breeds to make it to the list include Yorkshire terriers, boxers, poodles, Rottweilers and dachshunds.
