President Pranab Mukherjee condoled here today the loss of lives in the gas leak incident at the Bhilai Steel Plant in Chhattisgarh.
He has called upon the authorities concerned to engage in speedy relief and render all assistance to the kin of the victims, besides providing treatment to those affected by the incident.
The leak took place at the gas clearing plant of water pump house number 2 on Thursday night.
The incident is said to have occurred when repair work was being carried out in a section of the plant.
