Robert De Niro paid off 6.4 million dollars recently after learning he had been slapped with a lien for that staggering amount by the IRS, his lawyer said.

Tom Harvey, told the Daily News, that if they had sent the bill to the right address, it would have gotten paid sooner, Fox News reported.

De Niro's lien listed his address as his investment property in TriBeCa, the home neighborhood of the film festival he co-founded.

The bill for a whopping 6,410,449.20 dollars was from his personal tax filing from 2013, according to the papers.
