Taxi, auto fares to increase in Mumbai

The Bombay High Court has approved an order to increase auto and taxi rates in Mumbai.

The minimum auto fare for autos will now increase from Rs 15 to Rs 17, while the minimum taxi fair will now increase from Rs 19 to Rs 21. The new fares will come into effect from midnight on Tuesday.

Earlier, the Mumbai Taximen's Union had filed a petition to increase fare prices in the city.
