Auto stocks rise
Auto stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE Auto index increasing 118.04 points or 0.64% at 18602.99 at 09:48 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Auto index, Motherson Sumi Systems Ltd (up 1.46%), Bosch Ltd (up 1.43%),Cummins India Ltd (up 1.23%),Exide Industries Ltd (up 1.15%),Amara Raja Batteries Ltd (up 1.15%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Tata Motors Ltd (up 0.93%), Apollo Tyres Ltd (up 0.86%), Eicher Motors Ltd (up 0.74%), Hero MotoCorp Ltd (up 0.73%), and Bajaj Auto Ltd (up 0.58%).
At 09:48 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 51.99 or 0.13% at 41438.39.
The Nifty 50 index was up 36.3 points or 0.3% at 12216.65.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 46.64 points or 0.32% at 14818.96.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 21.81 points or 0.43% at 5085.9.
On BSE,925 shares were trading in green, 450 were trading in red and 71 were unchanged.
