Capital Goods shares gain

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 233.49 points or 1.98% at 12009.76 at 09:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, HEG Ltd (up 5%), Graphite India Ltd (up 4.98%),NBCC (India) Ltd (up 3.64%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 3.57%),Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 2.22%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were AIA Engineering Ltd (up 1.64%), Kalpataru Power Transmission Ltd (up 1.56%), Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 1.44%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 0.79%), and Finolex Cables Ltd (up 0.69%).

On the other hand, Grindwell Norton Ltd (down 2.42%), Schaeffler India Ltd (down 2.09%), and Havells India Ltd (down 1.77%) moved lower.

 

At 09:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 156.77 or 0.52% at 30223.04.

The Nifty 50 index was down 25.05 points or 0.28% at 8900.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 67.34 points or 0.65% at 10433.87.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 16.38 points or 0.45% at 3676.78.

On BSE,999 shares were trading in green, 459 were trading in red and 53 were unchanged.
