Capital Goods shares gain

Capital Goods stocks were trading in the positive zone, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index rising 179.53 points or 0.79% at 22863.17 at 09:49 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Graphite India Ltd (up 2.24%), Bharat Electronics Ltd (up 1.66%),Larsen & Toubro Ltd (up 1.6%),Grindwell Norton Ltd (up 1.47%),Thermax Ltd (up 1.31%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (up 1.13%), SKF India Ltd (up 1.07%), Siemens Ltd (up 0.99%), V-Guard Industries Ltd (up 0.94%), and Bharat Forge Ltd (up 0.42%).

On the other hand, Adani Green Energy Ltd (down 1.97%), Timken India Ltd (down 0.62%), and Schaeffler India Ltd (down 0.47%) moved lower.

 

At 09:49 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 234.71 or 0.45% at 52540.79.

The Nifty 50 index was up 57.65 points or 0.37% at 15744.6.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 51.92 points or 0.21% at 25004.54.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 11.59 points or 0.15% at 7737.75.

On BSE,1647 shares were trading in green, 923 were trading in red and 93 were unchanged.
