Capital Goods shares slide

Capital Goods stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Capital Goods index falling 196.14 points or 1.05% at 18497.96 at 13:47 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE Capital Goods index, Bharat Electronics Ltd (down 4.94%), NBCC (India) Ltd (down 3.89%),Carborundum Universal Ltd (down 3.46%),Sadbhav Engineering Ltd (down 2.56%),Lakshmi Machine Works Ltd (down 1.99%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Siemens Ltd (down 1.51%), Havells India Ltd (down 1.33%), HEG Ltd (down 1.07%), Schaeffler India Ltd (down 0.96%), and Thermax Ltd (down 0.9%).

On the other hand, AIA Engineering Ltd (up 1.57%), and Bharat Heavy Electricals Ltd (up 0.09%) moved up.

 

At 13:47 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 127.36 or 0.32% at 40174.6.

The Nifty 50 index was down 45.35 points or 0.38% at 11895.95.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 111.11 points or 0.82% at 13519.55.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 37.18 points or 0.79% at 4653.43.

On BSE,913 shares were trading in green, 1424 were trading in red and 137 were unchanged.
