Elecon Engineering Company consolidated net profit rises 29.30% in the March 2017 quarter

Sales rise 0.53% to Rs 422.27 crore

Net profit of Elecon Engineering Company rose 29.30% to Rs 29.70 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 22.97 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016. Sales rose 0.53% to Rs 422.27 crore in the quarter ended March 2017 as against Rs 420.05 crore during the previous quarter ended March 2016.

For the full year,net profit declined 71.23% to Rs 10.75 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 37.37 crore during the previous year ended March 2016. Sales declined 6.16% to Rs 1201.53 crore in the year ended March 2017 as against Rs 1280.36 crore during the previous year ended March 2016.
