Energy shares slide
Energy stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Energy index falling 54.09 points or 1.55% at 3427.2 at 13:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Energy index, Gulf Oil Lubricants India Ltd (down 5.51%), Reliance Industries Ltd (down 2.71%), Coal India Ltd (down 2.01%), Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (down 1.28%), Oil India Ltd (down 0.85%), and Gujarat Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (down 0.47%), were the top losers.
On the other hand, Aegis Logistics Ltd (up 10%), Gujarat Gas Ltd (up 5.71%), and Petronet LNG Ltd (up 5.22%) moved up.
At 13:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 848.33 or 2.97% at 29384.11.
The Nifty 50 index was up 227.6 points or 2.74% at 8545.45.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 321.75 points or 3.52% at 9451.33.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 101.02 points or 3.03% at 3437.18.
On BSE,1489 shares were trading in green, 654 were trading in red and 155 were unchanged.
