Healthcare stocks fall
Healthcare stocks were trading with losses, with the S&P BSE Healthcare index decreasing 229.18 points or 1.46% at 15427.49 at 13:53 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE Healthcare index, Vivimed Labs Ltd (down 4.96%), Alembic Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 4.9%),Glenmark Pharmaceuticals Ltd (down 4.04%),Lupin Ltd (down 3.88%),FDC Ltd (down 3.36%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were Dishman Carbogen Amcis Ltd (down 3.16%), Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries Ltd (down 3%), Vimta Labs Ltd (down 2.96%), Alkem Laboratories Ltd (down 2.93%), and Divis Laboratories Ltd (down 2.73%).
On the other hand, Panacea Biotec Ltd (up 14.19%), IOL Chemicals & Pharmaceuticals Ltd (up 7.54%), and Novartis India Ltd (up 5.71%) turned up.
At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was up 275.95 or 0.87% at 32019.03.
The Nifty 50 index was up 56.45 points or 0.61% at 9338.75.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was up 68.62 points or 0.64% at 10848.18.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was up 20.04 points or 0.53% at 3801.45.
On BSE,1133 shares were trading in green, 1050 were trading in red and 195 were unchanged.
