Information Technology shares ease

Information Technology stocks were trading in the negative zone, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index falling 351.4 points or 2.64% at 12967.56 at 13:53 IST.

Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, 3i Infotech Ltd (down 5.68%), NIIT Technologies Ltd (down 5.02%),Zen Technologies Ltd (down 4.68%),Cerebra Integrated Technologies Ltd (down 4.32%),Majesco Ltd (down 4.26%), were the top losers. Among the other losers were eClerx Services Ltd (down 3.86%), NELCO Ltd (down 3.79%), Firstsource Solutions Ltd (down 3.51%), Tata Consultancy Services Ltd (down 3.35%), and NIIT Ltd (down 3.02%).

On the other hand, Sonata Software Ltd (up 11.6%), Tata Elxsi Ltd (up 5.47%), and Tanla Solutions Ltd (up 4.97%) moved up.

 

At 13:53 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 270.08 or 0.85% at 31593.

The Nifty 50 index was down 58.65 points or 0.63% at 9255.25.

The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 94.48 points or 0.88% at 10690.56.

The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 40.67 points or 1.08% at 3735.45.

On BSE,778 shares were trading in green, 1397 were trading in red and 149 were unchanged.
