Information Technology shares rise
Information Technology stocks were trading with gains, with the S&P BSE IT Sector index rising 450.3 points or 4.02% at 11653 at 09:52 IST.
Among the components of the S&P BSE IT Sector index, NIIT Ltd (up 8.36%), Infosys Ltd (up 7.46%),Mindtree Ltd (up 5.87%),eClerx Services Ltd (up 5.15%),Tech Mahindra Ltd (up 3.31%), were the top gainers. Among the other gainers were Subex Ltd (up 2.95%), Wipro Ltd (up 2.85%), Mphasis Ltd (up 2.81%), Hexaware Technologies Ltd (up 2.77%), and HCL Technologies Ltd (up 2.45%).
On the other hand, CESC Ventures Ltd (down 10%), Majesco Ltd (down 9.97%), and Kellton Tech Solutions Ltd (down 9.95%) moved lower.
At 09:52 IST, the S&P BSE Sensex was down 48.77 or 0.19% at 25932.47.
The Nifty 50 index was up 57.55 points or 0.76% at 7667.8.
The S&P BSE Small-Cap index was down 137.82 points or 1.55% at 8735.01.
The S&P BSE 150 Midcap Index index was down 25.62 points or 0.81% at 3145.24.
On BSE,560 shares were trading in green, 769 were trading in red and 81 were unchanged.
