280 firms at Vietnam international medical & pharmaceutical expo

At least 280 firms from 25 countries, including India, are expected to participate in Vietnam's international medical and pharmaceutical exhibition (Vietnam Medi Pharm Expo) which will be held on August 11 till 13, officials said on Thursday.

China, Taiwan, Egypt, France, Germany, Hungary, Iran, Italy, Japan, Pakistan, Singapore, South Korea, Thailand, the US and the Ukraine, among others will be represented, Xinhua news agency reported.

At least 350 booths would showcase items such as vacuum blood collection tubes, disposable medical products, pharmaceutical packaging and processing products, local media said.

The bi-annual event is held in Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City in August and in Hanoi in December.
