UAE, France discuss ways to enhance ties

Abu Dhabi, Aug 28 (IANS/WAM) Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan met with French Defence Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian Tuesday to discuss ways to enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence field.

The crown prince of Abu Dhabi welcomed the French minister and his accompanying delegation and hailed the strong ties between the two countries.

The leaders touched on means to further enhance bilateral cooperation, particularly in the defence and military fields. Also discussed were the latest international and regional developments, as well as issues of mutual interest.
