Conflict of interest in parliamentary panels

While it's up to the government to educate parliamentarians to make their committees meaningful, shouldn't the ones who own industry be kept away from such panels?

What do they have in common?

Mr A is an Indian industrialist, politician, film producer and philanthropist. In early 1990s, he produced a religious film that bagged the National Film Award for Best Feature Film.
