A six-year-old girl was allegedly raped and strangulated to death in Baddapur village in Maholi area here, police said.
The body of the girl, who was missing since last night, was found in a field this morning, they said.
The police is probing the matter and have sent the body for post-mortem.
The family members of the girl have alleged that she was raped before being murdered, police said.
No arrests have so far been made in this connection, they added.
