EC men allege heckle for filming bike rally, no info with

Election Commission personnel were allegedly manhandled while taking video footage of a Trinamool Congress bike rally at Manikchak in Malda district today.

District election office sources said they had learnt about the incident and the footage would be examined before filing any official complaint.

Eyewitnesses claimed the team members were videographing the motor-cycle rally as it neared Khayertala pocket of Manikchak when some people from the crowd objected and "manhandled them".

Bike rallies are prohibited for election campaign under EC rules.

The Block Development Officer would be probing the charges, the sources said.

Police said they were yet to get any report about the incident.
