Elephant tramples forest guard

The guard was among a team of forest officials from Bidurikadu range, which had gone yesterday to chase away three elephants moving around Rockwood estate for the last couple of days, forest department officials said.

When the guard went near the elephants, one of them charged at him and trampled him.

He died on way to hospital.
