Rajasthan Medical and Health Minister R S Rathore today directed the state Medical Service Corporation that it should ensure proper and timely supply of free medicines at Lifeline drug stores for patients.
"Not only regular supply of drugs be ensured at Lifeline drugs stores run under the state government but it should also be monitored time to time", the minister said at a review meeting here.
Out of 601 medicines, at least 480 medicines including those which are life saving (taken during chronic ailments) should be made available at the SMS hospital in Jaipur, minister said, adding as of today only 354 medicines are available.

A regular preparation of required medicines should also be prepared so that newer drugs be included, he said.
Surgery implants should also be made available at the lifeline stores for needy patients, Rathore said.
Minister said an adventure group of Japan has donated a well-equipped and modern ambulance worth Rs 16 to the SMS hospital.
