Former Maoist cadre shot at

The police said 42-year-old Haren Singh Sardar was shot and critically injured this evening when he was sitting outside his home at Chakadoba village.

Sardar was a former Maoist cadre and was arrested for Maoist activities.

He was out on bail, the police said.

Singh was rushed to Jhargram hospital.
