Senior Congress leader Ashok Gehlot and the party's Rajasthan unit president Sachin Pilot today alleged that corruption and unemployment was rampant in the state under the BJP's rule and claimed that Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje was just a "guest for the next six months."

Exuding confidence that the Congress would win the Assembly elections, due later this year, Gehlot alleged, "Corruption and lawlessness are rampant under the BJP dispensation, while government officers are bulled and intimated by the chief minister during her district tours."

Addressing a 'Mera Booth, Mera Gaurav' rally at Hindoli Assembly constituency in Bundi district, he said, "Raje and her ministers know that they are guests for the next six months as the Congress is set to come to power (after the state polls)."

Pilot said, "Corruption is at its extreme height under the BJP rule. Prices of petrol and diesel are skyrocketing while the prices of farmers' produce are decreasing."

Accusing the BJP of failing to fulfill the promises made in the run-up to the Assembly polls in 2013 and the Lok Sabha elections in 2014, the state Congress chief alleged that the Raje government was "leaving no stone unturned to back corruption and privatization".

"The Congress is the voice of people that has never compromised on its principles whether it is in power or out of power," Pilot said.

Former union minister Namo Narayan Meena, All India Congress Committee national secretary Tarun Kumar, local MLA Ashok Chandana, and former deputy speaker in the state Assembly Ramnarayan Meena also addressed the party workers at the rally.
