Girl commits suicide

The girl consumed some poisonous substance at her home yesterday and was rushed to hospital in a critical condition where she breathed her last.

The body of the deceased girl has been handed over to the family.

The motive behind her taking such an extreme step was not immediately known, police said.

Police has initiated inquest proceedings under section 174 CrPC, he said.
