"Sunita Kumar, was injured in her wrist after being hit by a stray bullet while she was going through Berumandal tola where the encounter took place," Station House Officer (SHO) of Bariarpur Manoj Kumar said.
The injured girl was admitted to Sadar Hospital, he said.
The criminal managed to escape by taking advantage of the melee over the girl's injury, Kumar said.
