Grief stricken son dies of heart attack after father's death

Struck by grief at the death of his septuagenarian father, a 40-year-old man suffered a heart attack and died at Seerkazhi in Nagapattinam district today.

Police said Dharmichand (70) died en route to a hospital where he was to undergo special treatment. His 40-year-old son, who was beside him, suffered a cardiac arrest and died within minutes, they said.

Family members said the funerals of both father and son would be held at the same time.
