Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh today attacked Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) for allegedly neglecting people's interest in Radaur and betraying them in the name of development.

"Could INLD tell about any single decision which they have taken in the interest of farmers and poor people?" Hooda said while addressing a 'Radaur Vikas Rally' at the Grain Market here.

Stressing that the present government has implemented separate schemes for all sections of society to ensure their development, the Chief Minister said, during six years of INLD-BJP government in the state between 1999-2005, only Rs 58.26 crore were spent in Radaur Assembly constituency whereas during the tenure of the present state government, a sum of Rs 412.98 crore has so far been spent on development works.

"In Yamunanagar district, the previous INLD-BJP government had spent Rs 399.97 crore whereas we have so far spent Rs 1,810.84 crore. This amount is in addition to Rs 2,400 crore spent on construction of Deen Bandhu Chotu Ram Termal Power Plant, Yamunanagar," Hooda said.

Hooda also announced a slew of incentives for Radaur, including announcing the status of Tehsil to Radaur, Rs 50 crore for repair of roads, Rs 10 crore each for all four Assembly constituencies in Yamunanagar district from Haryana Rural Development Fund (HRDF), Rs 20 crore for Yamunanagar Municipal Corporation and Rs two crore for development of Radaur Town.

The Chief Minister also said, second phase of Dadupur Nalwi Canal would be completed by December this year, which would facilitate irrigation in over 92 hectares of land in the districts of Yamunanagar, Ambala and Kurukshetra.
