Interlocutors' report most exhaustive exercise on J-K: Omar

"Report of such a nature will necessarily evoke divergent views and reactions among the cross section of people who may argue differently, but an effort needs to be made so that the differences could be narrowed down and the majority of the people are unified on the broader contours of the political resolution," Omar said in a statement.
After a meeting with former interlocutors Dileep Padgaonkar and Radha Kumar here, Omar said the report should form the basis to initiate a dialogue between the Centre and the state and pave the path of meeting the aspirations of the people of the state on the basis of a boarder consensus.
Padgaonkar and Kumar are currently on a tour of Srinagar and Jammu, commissioned by Delhi Policy Group, to receive feedback on their report from various cross sections of the society.
