Four persons have been arrested and 43 kg of poppy has been seized in two separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district, the police said today.
On a tip-off, a team intercepted a car at Kunjwani Chowk in the outskirts of Jammu city, and recovered 30 kg of poppy during a search, a police officer said.
One person was arrested and a case has been registered in this regard, he said.

In another incident, the police intercepted a truck at Lakhanpur and seized 10 kg of poppy, he said, adding that one person was arrested and case has been registered.
He said police have also seized 3 kg of poppy from two alleged drug peddlers in Rajbagh area. They are from Punjab, the officer said.
