Militants open fire on security personnel near Awantipora Air Force Station

Militants today opened firing on security forces near an Air Force station in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, defense sources said.

"There has been a firing incident at Malangpora, near the Awantipora Air Force station," they said.

The details of the incident are being ascertained and the security forces have cordoned off the area to track down the militants, they said.
