Nickel slumps in lacklustre trade

Nickel prices slumped in an otherwise lacklustre non-ferrous metal market here today on sustained stockists selling amid lower demand from alloy industries.

However, select copper prices edged up on mild offtake from industrial users.

Nickel prices fell by Rs 8 per kg to Rs 720 from Thursday's close at Rs 728.

While, copper cable scrap moved up by Rs 2 per kg to Rs 388 from yesterday's close Rs 386.

Copper scrap heavy and copper armature inched up by a Re per kg each to Rs 382 and Rs 375, respectively.
