Officials attacked during anti-encroachment drive

The incident occurred in Datheda village yesterday when a team of revenue officials had gone to remove encroachment from a panchayat land, SDM Mahender Kumar said.

A case has been registered against 48 people, including 23 women, for attacking the officials, he said.

Security has been stepped up in the area and additional police personnel have been deployed.
