Over 1,300 Jalandhar students get grant of Rs 300, school bags

Over 1,300 students of 225 schools in the district were given a grant of Rs 300 each besides school bags, books and stationery by Shri Ram Navami Utsav Committee today.

The committee, which is headed by Chief Editor of Hind Samachar Group Vijay Kumar Chopra, also distributed sweets among the students.

"Like every year, the committee distributed Rs 300 as education grant, besides school bags, books, notebooks, pens, and sweets among students at a function here," Virendra Sharma, spokesperson of the committee, said.
