Police officer allegedly shoots his wife in Raj

A police sub-inspector, posted in the chief minister's security cell, allegedly shot dead his wife today with his service revolver at Rajasthan Police Academy quarters here.

ASI Phoolchand Yadav (40) was staying at the police quarters and is absconding, SHO Shastri Nagar Mahaveer Prasad said.

The body has been sent for post-mortem and the investigation is underway, he added.
