Power supply restored in half of UP

"The power supply, which was severely affected since 2.30 AM due to failure of Northern grid has been restored in 50 per cent areas of the state", MD, Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL), Avnish Awasthi told PTI.

He said that supply in Lucknow and Varanasi was restored by 6.30 AM and by 10.30 AM, supply was restored in about 50 percent of the state.

Power would be restored in western UP as soon as thermal power plants start generation.
