Welcoming the state's annual budget for 2014-15, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Harish Rawat today said it will give fresh impetus to inclusive growth and pace up development.

"The budget places great emphasis on the welfare of deprived sections. Uttarakhand is the first state to have a budget which provides old age pension to small and marginal farmers aged 60 years or above," Rawat told reporters in his reaction to the budget outside the Assembly.

Claiming the allocation of Rs 3,708 crore for 100 per cent women-centric schemes as another highlight of the budget, Rawat said it will lead to development of all sections.

Uttarakhand government today tabled a tax-free budget of Rs 30,353.78 crore for the year 2014-15 in the state Assembly making a provision of Rs 1,693.48 crore for disaster management and reconstruction work in affected areas.
