Refined soya oil prices up by 0.37 per cent to Rs 653 per 10 kg in futures trade today as speculators created fresh positions, tracking a firm trend at spot market on rising demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, refined soya oil for delivery in July traded higher by Rs 2.40, or 0.37 per cent to Rs 653 per 10 kg with an open interest of 1,69,980 lots.

In a similar fashion, the oil for delivery in June traded higher by Rs 1.40, or 0.21 per cent to Rs 668 per 10 kg in 80,320 lots.

Analysts said fresh positions built-up by speculators on the back of rising demand in the spot market mainly led to rise in refined soya oil prices at futures trade.
